A spectator’s selected card is lost in the pack, which is then isolated in a wooden houlette atop a thin table. On command, the selection rises from houlette as if guided by an unseen force. A second or third card can be made to rise from the pack in the same manner, and throughout, the performer stands some distance away from the table and cards, proving he exerts no influence over the effect. The cards and houlette may be examined before and after the effect, as they are ungimmicked. Mechanical table with fancy stenciled Thayer design to the top.
