The magician shows a playing card with a black rectangular trap door on the back. He shows how the trap door works using a regular kitchen paring knife. Two more trapdoor cards are stacked on top and again, the function of the trapdoor is shown. One of the trapdoor cards is removed and a banknote is borrowed. The note is inserted between the two remaining trap door cards. Suddenly, the knife can be seen having penetrated the banknote. The borrowed bill is removed and returned to the owner – it is completely undamaged…. Now the trap door cards are examined, and to everyone’s surprise, they are solid with no openings!
